Kuala Lumpur - University of Malaya International Cultural and Food Festival 2018 (UMICAFF 2018) which promoted the unity in the diversity within the community of University of Malaya (UM) has caught attention many people as well as the embassies.


Amongst the activities held during this program were cultural and traditional food exhibition based on countries, traditional dance competition, traditional game and fashion show. This year, about 20 countries including Malaysia has actively involved in this program. They were Thailand, Yemen, China, Bangladesh, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Brunei, Sudan, Maldives, Philippines, Mexico, Indonesia, India, Iraq dan South Africa.


UMICAFF 2018 which was cultural basis has been an annual event for International Student Centre (ISC) and University of Malaya International Student Association (UMISA) since it first back in 2015.


The festival held last week from 27-28 November 2018 was officiated by UM Associate Vice Chancellor (International), Profesor Madya Dr. Yong Zulina Zubairi and attended by Embassy of Yemen, Embassy of India, Embassy of Pakistan, Embassy of Sudan and Embassy of Egypt.
