ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
The programme aims to foster participants’ understanding of sustainable development and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through experiential learning, cultural immersion, and community-based activities. Through visits to sustainability initiatives, biodiversity research centres, wetlands, and places of cultural and religious significance, participants will explore topics such as responsible consumption, water conservation, biodiversity, and quality education. The programme also provides opportunities to experience Malaysian culture and traditions during Ramadan through activities such as learning about Ramadan in Malaysia, Malay language sessions, Islamic art and calligraphy, and the Ramadan bazaar and cultural food experience. By combining academic exposure, environmental awareness, and intercultural engagement, the programme encourages participants to reflect on sustainability challenges and identify practical actions towards a more sustainable future.
PROGRAMME FEES
Application of USD50 is charged when you apply for this programme.
The program fee is USD1,000 (UM Partner Universities only, normal rate: USD1,200) upon acceptance which includes:

Flight tickets, lunch & dinner, travel and medical insurance, and living costs are to be borne by the students. Proof of purchase is required for travel insurance.
MINIMUM PARTICIPANTS
A minimum of 15 students is required for the programme to commence.
