APPLICATION GUIDE

HOW TO APPLY?

1. Upload the 'Recommendation Form' from your faculty which is available on GEM Division website https://gem.um.edu.my/ or use the link below: RECOMMENDATION FORM

2. All applicants must apply through this Google Form: APPLICATION FOR OUTBOUND MOBILITY PROGRAMME - FALL 2024 SEMESTER

3. The completed 'Recommendation Form' needs to be attached to the Google Form. Failure to complete this step will result in your application being incomplete.

4. The Application Deadline for the Outbound Mobility Programme – Fall Semester is until 31^th March.
   The Application Deadline for the Outbound Mobility Programme – Spring Semester is until 31^th October.

5. Applicants under JPA are REQUIRED to send an email to ask whether you are allowed to go for exchange. You may inform them which country youare interested in and your study plan.

A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO THE APPLICATION PROCESS

To submit an application, you are required to complete the steps shown below:

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION

1) Universiti Malaya Applications (step 4)

• Latest Academic Result/Transcript (must be in English)
• A copy of the student's passport (front page with ID)
• English language Examination Result (MUET / IELTS / TOEFL)
• Recommendation Form (must be completed with Dean/Deputy Dean/Director/Head of Department/Mobility Coordinator signature)

2) Host University Applications (step 7)

• Recent Passport Size Photograph
• Latest Academic Result/Transcript (must be in English) - can be obtained from MAYA portal
• A copy of the student's passport (front page with ID)
• English language Examination Result (MUET / IELTS / TOEFL)
• Recommendation Letter issued by academic advisor/lecturer
• Confirmation Letter on student's enrolment status at home university issued by faculty
• Recommendation to participate for mobility program at UM issued by home university
• Scholarship/Sponsorship Letter (if applicable)
